Weekly Schedule

Sunday Morning

7th and 8th grade Sunday school: while adults are in the congregations the 7th and 8th graders have their own small groups in which they engage God’s word on topics relevant to their own age and culture.  In these classes they learn important truths from God’s word and pray.

 

 9:00 and 11:00 am Service: We see value in youth being in the larger fellowship of believers so we encourage parents to bring their youth with them to our main worship time.  However, we also see value in having a place for youth to grow and learn in a way that is separate from larger congregation.  Because of this we provide a 7th and 8th grade Sunday school where 7th and 8th grade are welcome to come and enjoy a lesson that is crafted for them. 

 

Midweek – Wednesday Evening

We believe that the family is the primary means that God has appointed to help grow youth up in the wisdom and power of the gospel.  One of the ways in which we aim to help families with this task is through Youth Discipleship Training (PISM). Our Tag Line is “Plugged in and Powered UP” ~ Bring a friend. Everyone is welcome.

 

PISM stands for Plugged in Student Ministry.

 

At Phillips, we desire for Youth to know, love, and serve Christ.  PISM is our midweek Youth Discipleship Training that strives to do just that! 

 

PISM offers the opportunity for kids learn about God’s Word, memorize God’s Word, participate in games, sing songs, and interact with leaders who love the Lord. 
 

PISM DETAILS

  Ages: PSIM is for ages 13 to 18.
  Schedule:  Wednesday 7:00 p.m. – 8:15 p.m.
 
Registration:  Families are asked to update the Permission Form and Medical Release form for each child for the year click here to register online or complete a registration form from the church office.

 

What you can expect at Youth Discipleship Training – “PISM”

• Youth Fellowship 
• Biblical text Lesson plan
• After the “together worship” youth have an expositional bible study where they try to mine the main point of a biblical text lesson plan and apply it to their lives. 
• These lessons plans are geared towards youth of all ages.   These lessons have great points and are a useful tool for parents to use for later conversation with their youth.
• A time of singing. 
• A time of prayer
• Sometimes we have refreshments

• Community Service
• Retreats
• Picnic, Bowling
• Skating
• Various activities throughout the year...
