Sunday Morning

Schedule

The Children’s Ministry is comprised of

  • Noah’s Ark (infant to 3 years old)
  • Creation Station (4 to 12 years old)

These ministries are uniquely designed to introduce God and his work in a nourishing, encouraging and in a practical atmosphere. This approach provides excitement and fun as the children learn and hear about God’s love, promises, and his commandments through the Bible stories of the Old and New Testaments.

9:00 and 11:00 am Service:  We see value in children being in the larger fellowship of believers so we encourage parents to bring their children with them to our main worship time.  However, we also see value in having a place for children to grow and learn in a way that is separate from larger congregation.  All children are welcome to come and enjoy a lesson that is crafted for them.

Using Noah's Ark

Children in Noah’s Ark must be accompanied with a Care Bag (diaper bag or backpack). Without this bag, our staff cannot admit your child as we are not equipped to handle emergencies that may arise as a result of a lack of these items or supplies. In order to keep a safe environment, we cannot admit children if they exhibit a fever or any type of illness.

Each bag must contain necessary materials for your child:

diaper.jpgInfants:

  · Pampers or diapers

  · Wipes

  · Ready to use bottles of milk that are properly labeled with child’s name

  · Change of clothing that is labeled with child’s name

  · Snacks, if dietary restrictions

  · Pacifier, if used to calm the child

* Parents are welcomed to the area to manage your child’s personal needs (changing diapers, feeding, etc.)

Toddlers up to 3 years old:

 · Pull-ups and change of clothes

 · Snack, if dietary restrictions

History & Future

Our History

The Children’s Ministry of Phillips Temple was established in 1994 under the leadership of Pastor James E. Washington. This ministry was designed to teach God’s word on a basic level and to illustrate to the children how to us God’s law and promises in their everyday lives. Children from pre-school to the sixth grade were excused from regular worship serve after the church announcements to gather in designated classrooms and were retrieved by the parents at the close of service.

When Phillips Temple moved to its Trotwood location in 2005 the Children’s Ministry became Creation Station Children’s Ministry. This ministry has evolved to run simultaneously with the worship services at 9am and 11am and has grown from ministering to 30 - 50 children to 75-100 children weekly.

Creation Station Children’s Ministry is in a constant state of change. Pastor Washington and the Ministry Leadership Team routinely examine the curriculum and operations of the ministry to assure that the ministry is moving forward in an excellent manner being biblically strong and exciting for the children.

Our Future

A Child...is the most valuable thing in the world. The child will carry on when we are gone the values and principles they have learned. They will run the world and be the one to spread the gospel when we have finished our work. What a responsibility it is for us whom God has given the lives and souls of little children.
